Come Down to Eulsukdo Island and Experience “Giselle,” a Romantic Ballet Masterpiece

Giselle, a romantic ballet masterpiece jointly performed by some of Korea’s leading private ballet companies, will be staged at the Eulsukdo Cultural Center.
Giselle stands as a representative work of the Romantic era, renowned for its ethereal staging of white ballet and its moving portrayal of love and heartbreak.
This performance will bring that poignant love to life through the dreamlike charm of Ballet Blanc—the ethereal corps de ballet dressed in white tutus. Under the dim moonlight in a forest, the Wilis, spirits of maidens betrayed in love, dance in flowing dresses that shimmer like mist, creating the illusion of floating above the stage and evoking the surreal beauty of Ballet Blanc.
The production is directed by the Ballet ESTP Cooperative, an organization formed by eight private ballet companies: Universal Ballet, Seoul Ballet Theatre, SEO Ballet Theatre, Wise Ballet Theatre, Kim Ok-ryeon Ballet Theatre, Jung Hyung-il Ballet Creative, Dance Theater Shahar, and Yunbyul Ballet Company. Since its founding in 2012, the cooperative has consistently worked to develop and popularize ballet through collaborative performances, educational programs, and diverse cultural events, pursuing sustainable artistic growth across the Korean ballet community.
